Global LMS Administrator
Description
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Global LMS Administrator to lead the management and optimization of our LearnUpon platform. In this role, you will serve as the primary architect of our online learning environment, oversee all internal LMS operations, and manage the relationship with our external LMS provider. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in LMS administration, including advanced permissions and scalable platform design, and will ensure a seamless, high‑quality learning experience that supports business growth. This role is remote, with a strong preference for candidates based in Bangalore, India.

Key Accountabilities
Platform Governance & Operations
- Ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the LMS, including privacy, security, and compliance settings.
- Lead the strategic design and architecture of the LMS to align with long‑term business needs and UX best practices.
- Oversee site structure, taxonomy, and content architecture to support scalable global learning delivery.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and governance models for consistent global operations.
User Management & Permissions
- Manage global user onboarding/offboarding, including SSO configuration.
- Design and oversee complex user flows, sub‑admin permissions, registration groups, and access rules.
- Create and manage user groups, security settings, and permission levels for multiple learner populations.
Content & Course Management
- Oversee content upload and organization of learning assets (SCORM/xAPI, training content, videos, assessments).
- Ensure a clean, intuitive learner and instructor experience.
- Create, configure, and maintain learning pathways, ensuring all uploaded content is accurately sequenced, assigned, and aligned with program goals.
Integrations & Data
- Manage and troubleshoot LMS data flows.
- Set up and maintain digital badge and certification workflows.
- Conduct weekly/monthly health checks of critical integrations, automations, and error logs.
Reporting & Analytics
- Build and maintain custom reports and dashboards that track KPIs, learner performance, compliance, and business impact.
- Provide stakeholders with actionable insights to inform decisions and improve learning outcomes.
Troubleshooting & Support
- Serve as the Tier 2/3 technical lead for LMS issues, including API discrepancies, advanced logic bugs, and display errors.
- Provide first‑line LMS support (non‑IT hardware), escalating only platform‑specific issues to external LMS providers.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary liaison with LMS vendors, third‑party partners, internal SMEs, and global learning teams.
- Hold external vendors accountable for SLAs and service quality.
- Partner with content authors, training teams, and L&D stakeholders to ensure platform readiness.
All About You
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Learning Technologies or equivalent practical experience required.
- Administrator with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience specifically designing and managing environments within the LearnUpon, Docebo, or Degreed platform.
- Proven experience with SCORM/xAPI standards.
- Preferred experience working within a Training or Customer Education business model (e.g. selling training as a product).
- Ability to manage external vendors and interpret SLAs to ensure accountability while managing escalations as necessary.
- Ability to manage well communication with stakeholders.
